AVD Project Management (Delivery & Coordination)

1. Engagement Overview

This engagement focuses on the end-to-end delivery of technical initiatives within GE Vernova. The objective is to drive cross-functional project execution from inception to closure, ensuring all project activities are aligned with GE Vernova’s strategic business priorities and operational goals. The role requires a strong focus on technical delivery within an Azure-integrated environment using ServiceNow as the primary project management system.

2. Operational Scope

The focus is on project delivery excellence. While the role works within an IT environment, the primary responsibility is project governance and execution rather than operational change management.

·       ServiceNow Project Module Management: Own and maintain project lifecycles within ServiceNow. This includes managing project tasks, resource plans, and ensuring all project data is kept current and accurate.

·       Azure Infrastructure Coordination: Act as the central point of contact for technical teams to coordinate the delivery of Azure-based infrastructure. Ensure that infrastructure timelines are synchronized with overall project delivery schedules.

·       Project Governance: Ensure all projects adhere to GE Vernova’s standard project management methodologies, providing transparency and consistency in execution across all assigned workstreams.

3. Core Responsibilities

Strategic Alignment: Ensure every project milestone and deliverable directly supports GE Vernova’s current business priorities and departmental objectives.

·       KPI Management: Strictly adhere to internal Project KPIs as defined in ServiceNow, including:

·       Schedule Variance: Managing the critical path to ensure on-time delivery.

·       Task Velocity: Monitoring the timely completion of project tasks by technical teams.

·       Project Health: Maintaining accurate and timely status reporting regarding project milestones, risks, and blockers.

·       Bottleneck Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve technical and resource-related blockers. Escalate issues early to ensure project momentum is maintained.

·       Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the liaison between technical engineering teams, Azure architects, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into manageable project execution plans.

4. Required Expertise

·       ServiceNow (Project Module): Deep practical experience managing projects within ServiceNow, including project tracking, reporting, and resource management.

·       Technical Familiarity: Proficiency with Azure infrastructure concepts (Virtual Machines, Storage, IAM, Networking) to effectively lead technical teams and manage infrastructure-heavy projects.

·       Project Management Discipline: Proven track record of managing high-volume, concurrent technical projects in a large, complex corporate environment.

·       Communication: Ability to distill complex technical project statuses into clear, actionable updates for leadership.

5. Performance Success Indicators

·       ServiceNow Data Integrity: 100% of projects reflect accurate status, timelines, and resource usage within the ServiceNow PM module.

·       KPI Adherence: Consistent delivery of projects within established schedule variance and milestone targets.

·       Critical Path Management: Proactive identification of risks and issues, with resolution plans implemented prior to critical milestone delays.

·       Strategic Impact: Demonstrated contribution to GE Vernova’s priority initiatives through timely and successful project execution.
