Lab Technician

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our laboratory team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing rubber compounds, raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality and manufacturing standards.

• Prepare and test rubber compounds and components according to quality plans, specifications, and applicable standards.

• Perform routine physical, chemical, and mechanical tests on polymers, raw materials, rubber compounds, and finished products.

• Conduct tests such as tensile strength, elongation, hardness, Mooney viscosity, and cure characteristics.

• Prepare samples and operate specialized laboratory equipment, including Rheometers, Universal Testing Machines (UTMs), Plastimeters, and Ovens.

• Monitor production batches and support the Quality Assurance team in maintaining consistent product quality.

• Assist the production team in identifying and troubleshooting compounding and manufacturing issues.

• Accurately record test results and maintain detailed laboratory records and logs.

• Prepare quality, compliance, and testing reports.

• Perform routine calibration and checks of laboratory testing equipment.

• Maintain high standards of laboratory safety, cleanliness, and housekeeping.

• Diploma, B.Sc., or ITI in Rubber Technology, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or a related technical field.

• 1–5+ years of experience in the rubber, polymer, plastics, or related manufacturing industry.

• Practical knowledge of rubber compounding and vulcanization processes.

• Familiarity with relevant testing standards such as ASTM, ISO, or BIS.

• Experience working with laboratory testing equipment is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and a precise, methodical approach to work.
